Master of Law (on the appropriate module)

After completing all the curricula provided for in the curriculum for two semesters, a student who has chosen a Master’s thesis receives a certificate of completion of the study program with 60 ECTS credits, i.e. a Master of Law on the corresponding module – 60 ECTS.

A master of Law is an academic degree in the field of law that can be obtained after completing undergraduate studies of law. This program usually lasts one or two years and allows students to focus on a particular area of law, such as international law, commercial law, public law, human rights, intellectual property, etc.

 Master’s law programs usually focus on the development of advanced legal skills and competencies, such as analytical thinking, critical thinking, argumentation, negotiation, writing legal documents, and other related skills. Students may also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different legal systems and legal traditions, as well as to familiarize themselves with legal practice and judicial proceedings in their own country or in other countries.

Master of Law with specialization in security and criminalistics focuses on the study of legal aspects and implications in the field of security and criminalistics. This program allows students to gain knowledge on various aspects of criminal law, court processes, forensic science, crime technique, legal aspects of terrorism, protection of public order and peace, prevention, and the fight against crime.

 Master of Law with a specialization in civil security focuses on the study of legal aspects and implications in the field of civil security. Students of this program can learn about the legal framework applicable in crisis and emergency situations, such as natural disasters, epidemics, terrorist attacks, and other crisis situations. Also, they can get acquainted with techniques and methods used by institutions dealing with civil security, such as the police, military, civil protection, and other organs.

After completing the Master’s Program in Law, students can find employment in a variety of legal settings, including law firms, corporate law firms, police, prosecutors, courts, law enforcement agencies, interior ministries, national security agencies, private security firms, international organizations, NGOs, academia and other law-enforcement institutions. A Master of Law can also be useful for those who want to prepare for doctoral studies in law or to perfect themselves in a particular field of law.
