University marked International Human Rights Day

On the occasion of December 10th, International Human Rights Day, the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko District BiH organized a lecture intended for students, with the participation of members of the Alumni community. The event brought together alumni who are currently active in various professional fields, who shared their practical experiences with students and discussed contemporary challenges in the protection and promotion of human rights.

“I am particularly pleased that we are marking International Human Rights Day, a day that reminds us all of the universal obligation to respect the dignity, freedom, and equality of every individual, together with our alumni, former students of the University who today, in their professional roles, contribute to society and pass on the values they built during their studies,” pointed out the Vice-Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Esma Hasanbašić.

Alumni and students of the University had the opportunity to exchange opinions on contemporary challenges in the field of human rights, especially in the context of education, the digital environment, and the labor market, and to hear examples from the professional practice of alumni who are currently active in various academic, economic, and social sectors.

“As an alumnus of the University, it is a great honor for me that I could be part of the program on the occasion of International Human Rights Day today. I believe that education plays a key role in building a society that respects the dignity of every human being,” stated law graduate Marijana Đurić.

“It is an honor that, as an alumnus of the University, I had the opportunity to participate in the marking of International Human Rights Day. I believe that it is the responsibility of all of us, especially those of us who have continued to build our careers on the foundations of knowledge acquired here, to contribute to the development of a culture of respect for human rights,” stated Master of Primary Education Miloš Đurković.

This event once again showed how important the cooperation between the University and its alumni is and how much that cooperation can contribute to the quality of education and social development.
