At the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management of the “Privredna akademija” University Brčko District of BiH, a scientific-professional gathering titled “Tourism – Theory and Practice” was successfully held, dedicated to contemporary challenges, trends, and opportunities for the development of the tourism sector.

The gathering brought together university professors, researchers, experts from practice, representatives of institutions, and the business sector, who, through constructive discussions, expert presentations, and the exchange of experiences, contributed to a high-quality dialogue about the future of tourism and its role in the economic development of the region.

Special emphasis was placed on contemporary trends in tourism, sustainable development, digitalization, and innovation, as well as on the importance of connecting theoretical knowledge with business practice. Participants had the opportunity to present new ideas, research, and examples of good practice that can contribute to the improvement of the tourism industry and the strengthening of regional cooperation.

Holding this gathering once again confirmed the importance of the academic community in creating a space for professional and scientific exchange, but also the need for stronger connections between educational institutions and the business sector.
