Professor Branislava Narančić Joveljić, representative of the University "Privredna akademija" Brčko, participated in the panel "People who make tourism", held within the framework of the second international tourism fair Tourism Expo Sarajevo 2026, which took place from October 22 to 24 at the Skenderija Cultural and Sports Center in Sarajevo.
💬 Professor Branislava pointed out:
"Participation in the 'People Who Make Tourism' panel, held as part of the Tourism Fair, was a significant opportunity to point out the importance of connecting academic institutions and the tourism industry from the perspective of higher education. As a professor in the Tourism study program at the 'Privredna akademija' University Brčko, I spoke about the importance of educating professional staff, developing practical competencies, and adapting study programs to the contemporary needs of the tourism market. Special emphasis was placed on the role of youth, digital marketing, new technologies, and artificial intelligence in tourism development, while emphasizing that the human factor, authentic hospitality, and direct communication remain indispensable elements of quality tourism service. Participation in the panel was also an opportunity to present the educational opportunities of the 'Privredna akademija' University Brčko, as well as to highlight the importance of education as a foundation for sustainable development and competitiveness of the tourism sector."
📚 Participation in such events contributes to strengthening cooperation between the academic community and the economy and confirms the importance of education that follows market needs and provides students with the knowledge and skills for successful operation in a contemporary business environment.
