The University “Privredna akademija” Brčko and the construction company “Gradex” d.o.o. from Gradačac solemnly signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on April 14, 2025, marking the beginning of joint activities.
The memorandum, signed by representatives of both institutions – Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, Rector of the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko District of BiH, and Šefik Močić, owner of the company “Gradex” d.o.o. – provides for the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and resources in the fields of education, professional internships, and technical cooperation.
“Gradex” d.o.o. is considered one of the most promising construction companies in the region, with experience in executing various infrastructure and residential projects.
It is planned that students of technical and management faculties of the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko District of BiH will have the opportunity to participate in professional internships at the company, as well as to get involved in real projects and educational workshops organized by “Gradex” d.o.o.
The owner of the company, Šefik Močić, highlighted the importance of connecting education and the economy, and expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to contribute to the education of young personnel through practical training. “We want to contribute to the creation of professional and responsible professionals who will be ready for the challenges in the modern construction industry,” said Močić.
The Rector of the University “Privredna akademija”, Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, emphasized the importance of cooperation with business entities in order to improve the quality of education. “Through such projects, our students gain invaluable experience and concrete knowledge that will help them with employment and in their further careers,” stated Petrić.
This cooperation represents another step in strengthening the ties between the academic community and the real sector, with the aim of creating competent and competitive experts ready for the labor market.
