The Association for Sports Recreation “Olympic Kids” from Brčko District and the University “Privredna akademija” from Brčko have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing the foundation for enhancing practical training and professional development for students in physical education, sports coaching, and related fields.
The document was ceremonially signed by the founder and representative of “Olympic Kids,” Mr. Dražen Mihajlović, and the Rector of the University “Privredna akademija,” Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić. The aim of this cooperation is to provide students with access to real working conditions in sports and recreational centers, thereby promoting the connection of theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
“Through this cooperation, our students will have the opportunity to complete professional internships within the sports programs and activities organized by the ‘Olympic Kids’ Association, gaining valuable experience in sports, recreation, and working with children and youth,” stated Rector Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić.
The association’s representative, Dražen Mihajlović, emphasized the importance of involving young professionals in sports-recreational programs:
“Our doors are open to all young people who wish to develop in the sports and pedagogical fields. Through this cooperation, students will learn from experts, participate in teamwork, and take part in organizing sports activities and events, directly preparing them for future professional challenges in sports and recreation.”
The Memorandum also foresees joint implementation of professional workshops, educational programs, sports camps, and other forms of extracurricular learning, with active involvement of coaches and experts from “Olympic Kids” in both curricular and extracurricular activities at the University.
This cooperation represents a significant step toward enhancing the quality of education in physical education and sports, contributing to stronger connections between the academic sector and sports practice in Brčko District BiH.
