The University “Privredna akademija” from Brčko and the University of Szeged, one of the most prestigious universities in Hungary, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening international academic ties and enhancing educational and scientific activities.

The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum was performed by the Rector of the University of Szeged, Prof. Dr. László Rovó, and the Rector of the University “Privredna akademija,” Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić.

This cooperation includes:

  • Exchange of students at all levels of study;

  • Exchange of professors and academic staff to improve the teaching process;

  • Joint participation in scientific-research projects;

  • Organization of joint scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops;

  • Publication of joint scientific papers and publications.

“Internationalization of higher education is key to modern university development. Cooperation with the University of Szeged will allow our students and professors to gain new experiences, knowledge, and contacts at one of Europe’s most esteemed educational institutions,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, Rector of the University “Privredna akademija.”

The Rector of the University of Szeged, Prof. Dr. László Rovó, highlighted that such partnerships contribute to strengthening the academic network between countries in the region and the European Union.

“We believe that this cooperation will bring numerous benefits to both parties through the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as through joint research and development, which is at the core of our University’s mission,” stated Prof. Dr. Rovó.

By signing this Memorandum, the University “Privredna akademija” and the University of Szeged lay the foundation for a long-term and meaningful academic cooperation that will contribute to higher-quality education and the development of science in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary.
