The University “Privredna akademija” from Brčko and the Basic Court in Zvornik signed a memorandum of cooperation, laying the foundation for strengthening ties between the academic community and the judicial system, which will enable students of the Faculty of Business and Law to acquire practical knowledge and a better understanding of court procedures.

The document was solemnly signed by the President of the Basic Court in Zvornik, Slavica Tadić, and the Rector of the University “Privredna akademija”, Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić. This cooperation aims to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience, which will contribute to a higher quality of education for future lawyers.

“Legal education must be dynamic and close to practice, and this memorandum will provide our students with direct insight into the work of judicial institutions. They will have the opportunity to attend hearings, learn from real court proceedings, and gain valuable experience that will benefit them in their future careers,” pointed out the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić.

The President of the Basic Court in Zvornik, Slavica Tadić, emphasized the importance of cooperation with academic institutions in order to strengthen the legal profession:

“This Memorandum opens up the possibility for students to see firsthand how the court system functions, how hearings are conducted, and what the roles of judges, lawyers, and prosecutors are. Also, our judges will participate in the University’s legal clinics, where they will pass on their knowledge and experience to students. Furthermore, practitioners will be involved in the teaching process at the University, providing students with insight into real legal challenges and the application of theoretical knowledge.”

The cooperation will also include organizing lectures, workshops, and simulations of court processes, which will enable students to better prepare for the legal profession.

With this Memorandum, the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko District of BiH and the Basic Court in Zvornik are laying the foundations for long-term cooperation that will contribute to strengthening practical legal education in BiH.
