Bachelor’s Degree – Protection

Environmental Protection; Occupational Safety; Fire Protection

These Study Programs will include the technical scientific field of the program Protection of three cycles of academic studies. The first cycle will last for four years (240 ECTS).

The student who defends the graduate thesis after passing all the courses provided by the curriculum for eight semesters gets a certificate of the completed study program with 240 ECTS credits, namely a graduate environmental engineer/graduate safety engineer/graduate fire protection engineer – 240 ECTS.

Environmental Protection

The study of environmental protection includes the study of human influence on the environment and the development of strategies and technologies for sustainable management of natural resources. This field encompasses various scientific disciplines, including biology, ecology, chemistry, geology, geography, engineering, and others.

During the study of environmental protection, students are introduced to various aspects of sustainability and protection of the natural environment, including air, water, and soil pollution, waste management, climate change, renewable energy sources, and others. Laws, regulations, and policies regulating these areas are also studied.

Environmental studies programs offer a wide range of courses, which can focus on different aspects of this area. Some of these courses include eco-economics, water resource management, recycling, eco-design, sustainable agriculture, protected area management, and others.

After completing environmental studies, students can find jobs in a variety of sectors, including industry, scientific research, public policy, NGOs, and others. They can engage in a variety of jobs, such as environmental engineers, sustainable development consultants, scientific researchers, public officials, environmental managers, and others.

Safety at work

The study of occupational safety involves the study of principles and practices applied in maintaining the health and safety of employees at the workplace. This study program aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for the identification, assessment, and management of risks in the workplace, as well as to understand the laws and regulations that regulate this area.

Occupational safety studies programs include different courses, focusing on topics such as ergonomics, toxicology, basic engineering, occupational safety and health laws and regulations, risk management, risk analysis, and assessment, maintenance of occupational safety, management of workplace incidents, and others.

After completing their studies in safety at work, students can be employed in various sectors, including industry, public policy, consulting, scientific research, and other areas dealing with occupational safety and health. They can deal with various jobs, such as safety engineers, occupational health and safety consultants, occupational health inspectors, occupational safety managers, and others. Their job is to implement occupational safety measures and manage risks to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for employees.

Fire protection

The study of fire safety involves the study of principles, technologies, and strategies for the prevention, detection, and suppression of fires. This study program encompasses various scientific disciplines, including chemistry, physics, engineering, mathematics, and others.

Fire safety studies programs include courses that focus on different aspects of this area, such as laws and regulations, engineering methods for fire prevention and detection, development of fire control strategies, human and animal safety, and others. Students will also learn about the use of specialized tools and technologies to prevent and fight fires.

After completing the study of fire protection, students can find work in various sectors, including government agencies, private companies, and other organizations dealing with this field. They can engage in various jobs, such as fire safety engineers, fire safety inspectors, fire safety consultants, fire safety managers, and others. Their job is to implement fire safety measures, develop fire control strategies, identify potential risks, and provide fire safety training and education.
