Road and city traffic; Railway traffic

The above study programs will include the technical scientific field in the field of road and city traffic, railway traffic, and three cycles of academic studies. The first cycle will last for four years (240 ECTS).

The student who defends the graduate thesis after passing all the courses provided by the curriculum for eight semesters gets a certificate of the completed study program with 240 ECTS credits, namely a graduate engineer of road and city traffic/graduate engineer of railway traffic – 240 ECTS.

Road and city traffic

The study of road and city traffic involves the study of various aspects of transport related to the movement of people and goods on roads in and outside the city. This includes the study of various forms of transport, such as cars, trucks, buses, trolleybuses, bicycles, and pedestrians, as well as various types of road networks.

Students studying road and city traffic learn about different technologies and methods used for the design, construction, maintenance, and management of travel networks and transport systems. This includes the study of traffic infrastructure, signaling, and road safety, as well as various types of vehicles and their characteristics.

In addition to technical aspects, the study of road and city traffic also includes the study of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of transport. Students learn how traffic affects the environment and climate change, as well as social problems, such as traffic jams and accessibility problems for people with disabilities or old age.

Completion of studies in this area enables students to work in various fields, including engineering, urban planning, public policy, and many others. Careers are possible in the state administration, city administrations, private consulting firms, engineering companies, vehicle manufacturers, insurance companies, and other related industries.

Railway traffic

The study of railway traffic involves the study of all aspects of the transport of passengers and goods by rail. This includes the study of different types of rolling stock, travel, and railway infrastructure, as well as technologies used to manage rail traffic.

Students studying rail traffic learn about different types of rolling stock, including locomotives, wagons, and other rolling stock. They also study the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure, such as railways, bridges, tunnels, and other railway facilities.

As part of studying railway traffic, students also learn about technologies used to manage railway traffic, such as signaling, telecommunications, automation, and computer systems. They also study the problems of railway safety and how these problems can be solved.
