Banja Luka, September 2, 2025 – The Basic Court in Banja Luka and Univerzitet “Privredna akademija” have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, officially marking the beginning of joint activities aimed at improving legal education, professional training, and the career development of students.

The Memorandum was signed by Biljana Radulović, President of the Basic Court in Banja Luka, and Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, Rector of Univerzitet “Privredna akademija”. The agreement foresees cooperation in the areas of legal education, practical teaching, and professional internships for students of law and social sciences.

Under the terms of the Memorandum, students of Univerzitet “Privredna akademija” will have the opportunity to participate in projects and internships within the Basic Court, attend trials, lectures, and workshops organized in cooperation with the court, thereby gaining insight into the real legal environment.

Biljana Radulović, President of the Basic Court in Banja Luka, emphasized the importance of such cooperation: “Connecting academic education with practical work in the judiciary allows students to better understand the legal system and prepare for professional life, while at the same time contributing to the strengthening of legal practice through the fresh perspective and knowledge of young professionals.”

Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, Rector of Univerzitet “Privredna akademija”, highlighted the significance of this Memorandum for students: “This cooperation provides students with concrete experiences and enables them to apply theoretical knowledge in a real legal environment, which is crucial for their professional development.”

This Memorandum represents an important step in strengthening the ties between the academic community and judicial institutions, with the aim of improving the quality of education and creating skilled professionals ready for the challenges of professional life.
