Brčko, May 19, 2025 – The University “Privredna akademija” from Brčko District and the University of Applied Sciences “Suvremenih Informacijskih Tehnologija iz Zagreba” (VSITE) have signed a Memorandum of International Cooperation aimed at enhancing higher education and developing joint academic and research activities.
The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of “Privredna akademija,” Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, and the Dean of VSITE, Edmond Krusha, Mag. Inf., Senior Lecturer. The signing of the document marks the beginning of a partnership between the two higher education institutions, which recognize the importance of regional and international cooperation in the fields of education and technology.
Areas of Cooperation
The cooperation between the two institutions will include:
Organization and delivery of teaching at all levels of study through the exchange of teaching experiences and methods;
Exchange of professors and students for mutual professional development and cultural exchange;
Joint scientific-research projects and exchange of research results;
Development of scientific-research staff through mentorship, workshops, and joint publications.

We believe that through joint projects and knowledge exchange, we will improve the quality of education and broaden the horizons for our students and professors,” stated Prof. Dr. Željko Petrić, Rector of the University “Privredna akademija.”
“We are pleased to have established cooperation with an institution from Brčko District, as we believe that experience exchange and joint work are key to progress in the IT sector and higher education. Our goal is to connect theory with practice and provide students with mobility and international opportunities,” emphasized Edmond Krusha, Dean of VSITE.
This memorandum represents yet another example of the growing need to connect educational institutions in the region with the aim of joint development, strengthening competitiveness, and responding to the challenges of modern society.
